Regarding the Subject of “REVERSCAPE”, this temporary structure was designed with PEX(or XLPE) pipes, which is always hidden component in building and is using for plumbing. By not only taking out the inner material itself, but also creating cloud-like mass, the architectural installation will provide a respite from the sun by making shade and seats in the wide open site. AnLstudio’s approach was to create a solid state with non-architectural material as well as borderless mass, like dustball. Rather than a static and constant Solid state, representing coagulating and solidifying state should be more dynamic and fluid against the site. Since hundreds of Xe-Pipe are bound, accumulated, and amalgamated together for structure with horsebands/Ziptie/Polycarbonate Tube, this boundary is blurred and hairy.
Exhibition "REVERSCAPE"
REVERSCAPE is APMAP (http://museum.amorepacific.com)'s first show held at the Beauty Campus in Osan. As the title suggests, its thematic focus is placed on the ideas of 'reverse' and '-scape'. In other word, it intends to rejuvenate with creative and ingenious works of art the monotonous ambience of the factory where skin care and make-up products are manufactured and distributed.
